Just had the best freaking wet burrito, I am Mexican and I know mexican food from grandma and moms, I usually don't expect much from taquerias but dayum I was impressed, this wet burrito first and most the temperature, sauce, the meat and even the rice and beans to perfection, the aguacate was fresh, finally the service just wow!!

Pretty good taqueria around the corner from me! * Carnitas burrito - 4.5 stars. Excellent crisp to the carnitas, it comes through even with everything else going on. * Chorizo taco - 4 stars. Again that great crisp! I wish for a little more heartiness to the meat. Each piece is a bit too small. * Fried fish taco - 4 stars. They now have long thin strips that are fried. I thought it was fine, my partner really enjoyed it. * Al Pastor taco - 2.5 stars. Surprisingly boring, meat was rubbery in texture.

So first off ! Their food is so good. The green salsa people raved about is really that good. The customer service I got tonight was phenomenal and that person deserves a raise. The ambiance it's pretty cozy and local only thing was there was a lot of dirty dishes on the tables still but to be fair they were getting get ready to close. I got the chicken enchiladas which was recommended by the waitress. Super good super tasty. 10/10.

10/10 Coctel de Camarón. En comparación de los lugares en la cuidad este lugar tiene el coctel con el mejor precio y sabor. In comparison to other places in the city. This spot has the best price and flavor for their shrimp cocktail.

I feel like the quality of burritos in SF are declining, but this place did not dissapoint! It gets paccckeedddd... legit waited about 25 minutes in line before ordering and then another 25 for the food. The burritos are big, flavorful, and put together just right. Our group all did super burritos (fish, carne asada, and pollo asado.) No complaints from anyone. Prices are pretty typical, but I thought totally worth it here for size and taste. Probably my new go-to!

The green salsa is some of the best I've had, great with seafood and the chips are perfect. My shrimp burrito had plenty of juicy shrimp, cooked well. Wrapping wasn't the most secure, had a blowout at the end, but very tasty!

Coming from So Cal (Los Angeles area), but being raised in Nor Cal (San Francisco area), I used to have a certain snobbery about Mexican food, favoring The City (SF) over LA, despite LA having a bigger Mexican community and geographically being closer to the border of Mexico. SF used to have great Chicken prepared in an almost stew like red sauce simmering moist and tender, and LA used to have grilled chicken chopped up and kinda dry... that's part of what I liked about SF Mexican food... and it still can be found here in SF (just not here at Tipito, to my disappointment) I feel the prices of ethnic cuisine that's been traditionally affordable comfort food, especially Chinese and Mexican, has gone up in The City, whereas in LA, it's priced for the people, more affordably. So, we ate a $7 shrimp taco which would be $5 in LA (and maybe $3.50 on Taco Tuesday) here, it was good but still seemed expensive. The fish taco (fried option) was a series of small "french fry sized" strips, totally not good at all in format, taste, quality and price. We had a burrito and that was very good, a nice portion of meat, good balance of beans and rice too, an almost sharable size. For lunch we spent about $40 for 4 or $10 a person, but it was more snack portions and a full on lunch with drinks we'd estimate would have cost more in the realm of $75-80, or about $20 a person. In Los Angeles, we'd get comparable food for maybe 1/2 the price than in SF, so this review might be biased to that degree in why it's not * * * * * five stars instead of 4 However, * * * * four 4 stars is great in my book, so don't fret, it's a good review overall. I mentioned the areas that could be improved here. Parking isn't easy but is achievable. The service here was friendly however.

Just recently moved to the area and have been missing my dads cooking. Obviously nothing compares to home cooking but this place comes close. The taco meats are nicely seasoned the beans are delicious and the service is fast. Both times I've came the place was packed but you are able to find a place to seat by the time you order someone is leaving and you can find a spot. We feel in love with the tacos de lengua. Not a lot of people know how to prepare the meat correctly and they have perfected. Definitely will be bringing my dad here next time they come to visit. Only tip I would say the salsas need a little more salt and spice but other than that the food doesn't disappoint. Almost forgot the agua the horchata is bomb! Must try!
